If you’re as excited about Grand Theft Auto V as we are here at flydrs, then this bit of news will really make you happy.  Series producer Leslie Benzies has mentioned Rockstar studio would like to make a game that encompasses all of the previous cities in one game.

The Grand Theft Auto series has had various locations, from the NYC-inspired Liberty City in GTAIV, to the California inspired locales in GTA San Andreas.  A Grand Theft Auto game that spanned all of these previous cities in a true GTA world would be utterly amazing, and truly would be one GTA to rule them all.

Here are some excerpts from his interview with Digital Trends.

“Of course, at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities, and let the player fly between them and revisit their favourite areas; and in that context, re-imagining Vice City would be very interesting,” Benzies said in the interview.

The scope of such a game is hard to imagine the current batch of consoles handling, but perhaps this is the game Rockstar has planned for the next-gen systems.  Being able to fly to different cities and locations and truly become immersed in a GTA world is intriguing to any fan of the series.  Of course this is just a concept, and until then we have GTAV to become lost in, but one can only hope it becomes a reality.
