Black Ops 2 Over $1B in Sales – Call of Duty Sets Records Again

Every year a new Call of Duty game comes out.  And every year it breaks records that the previous game set the year before.  2012 is no different.  Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has reached $1B in sales just 15 days after its release, surpassing the mark of 16 days set by Modern Warfare 3 last year.

Oddly enough, early indications are that Modern Warfare 3 was selling at a faster rate, which begs the question how Black Ops 2 reached the $1B mark sooner.  Could it be the more expensive Hardened Edition, or the Care Package Edition that retailed for $179.99?  How has the game being available on the new Wii U impacted total sales? Regardless, an amazing number of fans are still playing Black Ops 2 .  With some people already reaching Master Prestige rank, some are even playing it non-stop it would seem.
