A leaked image on Amazon that has been taken down points towards significant changes to the prestige mode in Black Ops 2. Since the introduction of Prestige mode in Modern Warfare, the prestige mode has reset the gun levels upon entering each prestige level.
In Black Ops 2, however, this all changes. Progress made on each gun will not reset, and instead carry over into the next prestige level. Whether or not the time it takes to reach the maximum level for each gun will be increased is unclear, but this certainly marks a significant change over the previous iterations of the game. How do you feel about this new development for Prestige mode?
The product description also indicated that there will be a campaign mode for the popular zombies aspect of the game. Whereas in World at War and Black Ops, zombies was an exclusively multiplayer game mode, Black Ops 2 will allow players to play zombies in multiplayer, as well as in a campaign mode. Since information on Black Ops 2 began trickling out, there hasn’t been much news on the zombies mode other than that it will be making its return. Rumors have swirled over the multiplayer mode being tweaked to include 4 vs 4 games, and speculation over the zombies portion of the game has been rampant. This new idea of a zombies campaign mode is definitely intriguing, and should be popular with fans of the series. Specific information on the campaign hasn’t been released, so it remains to be seen if it’ll be a strictly single-player mode or if it will be playable in co-op fashion.
