In their debut trailer for Dishonored, coming later this year, Bethesda and Arkane Studios raised the level of excitement with an extended view into what the game has to offer. The video features a prisoner, Corvo, who while awaiting his execution, is visited by a mysterious figure who bestows upon his mark and supernatural abilities.
After a glimpse of the city in which Corvo was held prisoner, one quickly realizes this a world wrought with misery and prosecution. Rats are abundant in the streets, and the attention to gruesome detail is noteworthy. A rat is seen gnawing on a finger of one of the deceased, ripping off a large chunk as a snack; a soldier whom is killed by Corvo falls to the ground, his thumb giving a final twitch as he succumbed to the knife wound.
This extended look at the game gives the player a great indication of what to expect from a storyline perspective, and should get fans excited.
