IDEAS FOR CALL OF DUTY:  BLACK OPS 2 ZOMBIES      

It’s no secret that the zombies mode in World at War and Black Ops have been amazing and extremely popular.  Even easter egg songs have become renowned.    With Black Ops 2 around the corner, it has flydrs wondering what Treyarch has planned for the next installment of the zombie mode.

MAPS

The interactive environments contained in the maps have become more sophisticated and complex throughout the progression of the zombie story line.   Lunar landers, spacesuits, and entire rooms that can be decompressed are an indicator of where the maps are heading.  A map like moon, for instance, offered a variety of different strategies that were influenced by changes to the map environment.

Shane Walsh would be proud.

WEAPONS

Treyarch appeased fans with the mule kick perk, which enabled players to carry a 3rd gun.  Why not implement other great fan ideas, like having a multiplayer mode where players faced one another with zombie weapons?.  The FFA game mode All or Nothing on Modern Warfare 3 has proven to be immensely popular.  Surely other great ideas could emerge from the community in the zombie spectrum.  New zombie weapons are a given and a must.

  1. How make the zombie reactions a little more realistic (as realistic as zombies get :P).
    Example: As soon as the zombies break through a barrier it would be neater if they didn’t know exactly where you were ALL the time. Let them shamble around until they see/hear you. This would put a good emphasis on choice. You can choose to mow them down with your gun and that way they will see/hear you. Or you can be stealthy and make moves to dispatch them. Obviously there would be a balance between the two methods. Like if you started mowing zombies down noisily, then they would all be alerted to your whereabouts. But if you suddenly decided to run and hide, you could eventually lose them. This would open up possibilities to many different playing styles and opportunities to get even more creative with gameplay.
